Blue Jays, Nationals score youth baseball wins

The Nationals and the Blue Jays both scored victories in youth baseball action on Saturday.

Blue Jays 15, Orioles 0
The Blue Jays had a break out game against the Orioles Saturday winning 15 – 0.

The Blue Jays bats erupted in the first, second and fourth innings to provide the offense. Preston Woodworth went 3 -3 with 3 singles, Brady Christaansen 3 for 3 with 2 singles and a double with 2 RBI’s, Carter Woodworth 2 for 2 with a double and a single and  2 RBI’s, Brody Fry 3 for 3 with two singles and a double and 3 RBI’s, Jimmy Dieter 2 for 3 with a single and a double and 3 RBI’s, Aidan Papaj 2 for 3 with two singles and had 2 RBI’s, Aiden Wisnewski  2 for 3 with 2 singles and 1 RBI, and Joseph Reese and Ethan Brown both had hits.

The Blue Jays held the Orioles to no hits as pitchers Fry,  Dieter, and  Papaj, struck out all 3 batters in the innings they pitched.

The Mark’s Pizzeria Nationals downed the Blue Jays 20-1 as Aidan Owczarczak set the tone of the game with 8 strikeouts through 3 innings.

Josh Hilobuk was a perfect 4 for 4 reaching base from the lead off position.  Julian Woodworth, Brandon Christiaansen, Julio Doval, and Aidan O all contributed with doubles for the offensive breakout.  Robert McCarthy  and Austin Thompkins each reached base during all three of their plate appearances.
