Nationals advance to Cap Classic title round

A big seven run second inning scoring burst powered the Niagara Nationals to a 9-1 victory over Team All American from Trafford, Pa. today and into Sunday’s championship round at the Cap Classic in Pittsburgh.

Hits by Nate Sherman, Joe Dell’oso and Aiden Johnston, along with 4 walks, keyed the big uprising as the Nationals improve to 2-1 in the tournament. Dell’oso had 2 hits on the day.

Carson Harper went the distance on the mound for the Nationals allowing only 2 hits and striking out 1.

The Nationals are seeded 10th for the 12 team championship round.
