National Wrestling Hall of Fame honors Grillo

Former long time Holley High wrestling Coach John Grillo is being honored by the Upstate New York Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame with a 2022 Lifetime of Service Award.
Grillo, along with the other 2022 honorees, will be enshrined in the State Chapter’s Hall of Fame Room at the National Wrestling Hall of Fame in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
Grillo coached wrestling for 44 years, mostly at Holley, where he helped to guide the Hawks to no less than 22 Genesee Region League and 12 Section V titles.
Having garnered over 780 wins during his career, Grillo was honored as G-R Coach of the Year 15 times and Section V Coach of the Year six times.
He was previously inducted into the Seciton V Hall of Fame and has received the New York State Coaches Achievement Award.
