National Guard soldier from Albion receives new rank and responsibilities
Sheldyn Dysard of Albion has been promoted to the rank of specialist in the New York Army National Guard.
Dysard is assigned to the Company D (Forward Support Company Reconnaissance, Surveillance and Target Acquisition), 427th Brigade Support Battalion.
Army National Guard promotions are based on overall performance, attitude, leadership ability, and development potential, said Major General Ray Shields, the Adjutant General for the State of New York.
These promotions additionally recognize the best qualified soldiers and attract and retain the highest caliber citizen-soldiers for a career in the New York Army National Guard.
