Narrow 6-4 loss for R-H/Barker/Medina icers
The Roy-Hart/Barker/Medina Club icers traveled to North Buffalo Sunday evening to face the City Honors/Cardinal O’Hara team and came away with a narrow 6-4 Western New York Club Hockey League loss.
Late in the first period, CH/CO scored the initial goal of the game and seven seconds later scored another. Before the end of the period, however, Dayton Ruppel (Akron) scored from Corey Saj (Medina) for RBM.
In the second, CH/CO had three more goals, but Saj scored from Dominic Peracciny (Roy-Hart) to make the score 5-2 going into the final period.
In the third period Ruppel scored unassisted, but CH/CO matched that score. RBM ended the scoring with a power play goal by Saj with the assist going to Lucius Wagner (Medina) with just 12 seconds remaining..
Now 0-3 on the season, RBM next faces league leading and undefeated East Aurora/Holland Tuesday for an away game beginning at 8 p.m.
