N-O trio earns All-WNY basketball honors
Photos by Cheryl Wertman – Three Niagara-Orleans League players have earned spots on the All Western New York girls basketball squad. Wilson junior Peyton McGinnis, center, has been named to the small schools second team and her teammate, junior Rian Faery, earned Honorable Mention. Medina senior Rylee VanNostrand also earned Honorable Mention. McGinnis had 308 points and 185 rebounds this season while Faery had 271 points, 130 steals and 111 rebounds. VanNostrand scored 421 points which is second on Medina’s all time single season scoring list.
