N-O tennis doubles tourney gets underway
The Niagara-Orleans League doubles tennis tournament got underway at Albion this afternoon as Albion, Barker and Akron all posted straight set wins.
The duo of Landon Graybill and Oliver Beach earned Albion a 7-6, 6-3 win over Medina.
Barker bested Newfane 6-1, 6-0 as Ryan Fisk and Nick Heidemann teamed up to earn the win.
Akron downed Roy-Hart 6-4, 6-3 on a win by the team of Whitley Koopman and Aubrey Baltzley.
The tournament will conclude on Wednesday. The semifinal matchups will have Albion vs. Wilson and Barker vs. Akron.
