N-O spikers earn All-WNY honors

Six Niagara-Orleans League players have earned spots on the All-Western New York volleyball squad.
Albion senior Chanyce Powell has been named to the second team of the All-WNY large school squad. She had 256 spiking kills, 182 digs, 82 blocks and 40 service aces this season.
Albion’s Emilie Barleben, Medina’s Emily Kams and Roy-Hart’s Bea Bacon, all seniors, have received Honorable Mention on the large school squad.
Barleben had 185 assists, 166 digs, 43 kills and 34 aces; Kams had 169 assists, 137 digs, 59 kills and 45 aces and Bacon, who averaged 12 kills per match, had 99 service points, 35 aces and 26 blocks in N-O competition.
Undefeated (10-0) N-O champion Akron has placed two players on the All-WNY small schools squad. Senior Taydem Printup is a first team honoree and sophomore Darion Jonathan a second team selection. Printup had 146 kills, 49 aces and 203 digs and Jonathan 150 kills, 42 aces and 218 digs
All six players earned first team N-O All-League honors.
