N-O will decide soccer champs this week

Titles will be decided as the Niagara-Orleans boys soccer and girls soccer teams wrap up their league schedules with a pair of games this coming week.

In the boys soccer title race, Wilson is currently in first place at 7-0-1 with Medina at 6-1-1 and Albion at 6-2 still in the hunt. The Lakemen broke a deadlock for the top spot by posting a key 3-1 win over the Mustangs on Friday.

Albion may not end up winning the title but the Purple Eagles will certainly have a say in determining who does as they visit Wilson on Tuesday and host rival Medina on Thursday both at 6:45 p.m.

Medina also hosts Roy-Hart at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday and Wilson visits Akron at 4:45 p.m. Thursday.

In the girls soccer title race, Roy-Hart now holds the top spot at 6-1-1 followed by Akron at 5-1-2 and Wilson at 4-1-2.

Roy-Hart will close out the N-O season by hosting Medina on Tuesday and Newfane on Thursday both at 6:45 p.m.

Akron will visit Newfane on Tuesday and Wilson on Thursday also both at 6:45 p.m. Wilson will also visit Albion at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Wilson is the defending N-O champion in both boys and girls soccer.
