N-O honors girls All-League soccer team

Champion Wilson (12-0-2) and runner-up Akron (12-1-1) have both placed four players on the first team of the annual Niagara-Orleans All-League girls soccer squad.

Wilson is represented by junior midfielder Lauren Austin (7 goals, 19 assists), senior defenders Angela Goodman and Kaylee Stoelting and junior goalie Katlynne Tubo.

Akron has placed junior forward Paige Buscaglia (27 goals, 16 assists), junior midfielder Cailin Regan (18 goals, 23 assists), sophomore midfielder Erika Papke (15 goals, 17 assists) and senior defender Alex Eckerson.

Newfane placed the senior duo of forward Savannah Jonathan (28 goals, 11 assists) and midfielder Sophie Connor (8 goals, 5 assists).

Albion is represented by senior defender Kelsey Schmitt and Roy-Hart by sophomore forward Emma Lindke (19 goals, 9 assists) to round out the first team.

Albion has placed by a quartet of players on the second team including senior forward Abby Squicciarini (15 goals, 7 assists), sophomore forward Mariah Elsenheimer (17 goals, 10 assists), senior midfielder Kyla Doyle and senior defender Arianna Smith. The Purple Eagles also had senior Kendall Piccirilli and juniors Mandi Covis and Monica Benjoveski receive honorable mention.

Medina placed senior midfielder Taylor Miller (15 goals, 5 assists) on the second team.

Roy-Hart’s junior duo of Taylor Fry and Hannah Rausch were both named to the second team. The Lady Rams also had senior Melissa Zakrzewski, junior Ashley Bower and sophomore Amber Villella receive honorable mention.
