N-O has large group of seeded wrestlers for the Section VI Division 2 state qualifier
Nearly 20 Niagara-Orleans League wrestlers are seeded for the Section VI Division 2 state qualifier tournament which will be held Saturday and Sunday at SUNY Fredonia.
Medina’s Brody Fry is seeded No. 1 at 190 lbs. The Mustangs also have Reece Senske seeded No. 2 at 116 and Luke Duffina No. 2 at 131.
Albion’s Jaxon Lynch is seeded No. 4 at 145 and Stryker Sanders No. 6 at 108.
Roy-Hart/Barker has a trio of seeded wrestlers as Ronan Klug is No. 2 at 170, Lucas Kimber No. 3 at 108 and Luke Fay No. 4 at 138.
N-O champion Newfane leads the local contingent with six seeded wrestlers as Ayden Butery is No. 1 at 145, Tristian Smith No. 1 at 170, Aidan Gillings No. 2 at 145, Colin Doxey No. 4 at 170, Jake Morello No. 5 at 160 and Rian Czaja No. 6 at 116.
Wilson has Jacob Stephenson seeded No. 1 at 160, Hamza Merrick No. 2 at 285 and Vic Cusatis No. 3 at 152.
Akron’s James Crooks is seeded No. 3 at 285.
Wrestling is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. on Saturday and at 9 a.m. on Sunday with the finals slated for 3 p.m.
The Section V Division 2 tournament is being held today and Saturday at Bath Haverling High School.
Lyndonville’s Ty Holmes is seeded No. 2 at 131.
