N-O has All-WNY Field Hockey honorees

Three Niagara-Orleans League players – Akron senior midfielder Abby Stone, Akron junior defender Olivia Diebel and Barker sophomore attacker Katrina Clare – have been named to the first team of the All-Western New York field hockey squad.
Stone, a four-time All-WNY honoree, scored a WNY leading 26 goals this past season while Clare had 13 goals.
Stone and Diebel helped lead Akron to the state Class C semifinals. The Lady Tigers shared the N-O title with Barker and then nipped the Lady Raiders 2-1 in the Section VI Class C title game.
A quartet of N-O players earned second team All-WNY honors including Akron senior defender Amanda Jeziorowski, Barker senior midfielder Casey A’Hearn, Medina junior attacker Guin Schalck and Roy-Hart junior attacker Alexis Lovewell.
The All-WNY Honorable Mention list has five N-O players including Barker senior attacker Natalie Menz, Roy-Hart senior midfielder Delaney Draper and junior goalie Jamie Bower along with the Wilson senior duo of midfielder Olivia Mitchell and attacker Maddie Mocarski.
