N-O golfers will open the local high school fall sports season
Niagara-Orleans League golf teams will get the area high school fall sports season underway by playing a pair of matches next week.
League action begins on Tuesday with Albion at CSAT, Wilson at Newfane and defending champion Barker at Akron.
Medina will begin its season on Wednesday against rival Roy-Hart at Shelridge. John Jablonski has taken over the Roy-Hart coaching reins following the retirement of Mark Rydza.
Golf action will continue on Thursday with Medina visiting rival Albion at Hickory Ridge, CSAT vs. Roy-Hart at Shelridge, Barker at Newfane and Akron at Wilson.
Barker captured a second straight N-O title last fall by posting a 13-0-1 record followed by Newfane 9-5-0, Akron 8-2-4, Wilson 9-4-1, Medina 5-7-2, Albion 5-8-1, Roy-Hart 2-9-3 and CSAT 0-14-0.
Medina junior Gage Masters, Barker sophomore Brad Wilson and Newfane sophomore Aiden Herlan are all returning All-League honorees.
