N-O girls All League basketball team selected

Four schools are represented on the first team of the annual Niagara-Orleans All-League girls basketball squad.

That quintet includes senior Maddie Williams and junior Camri King from Medina, senior Brylie Hapeman from Albion, junior Skylar Munnikhuysen from N-O champion Wilson and senior Darion Jonathan from Akron.

Munnikhuysen and Jonathan both earned second team All-League honors last year.

King led Medina in both scoring with 298 points (13.5 average) and rebounding with 243. She also had 40 steals.

Williams scored 203 points (9.2 ave.), grabbed off 187 rebounds and had a team leading 99 steals and 84 assists.

Hapeman scored 156 points (8.6 ave.) and had 61 rebounds and 53 steals.

Munnikhuysen, who was named N-O Player of the Year, led Wilson in scoring with 281 points (14.0 ave.) and had 118 rebounds, 75 steals and 45 assists.

Jonathan led Akron in scoring with 314 pouts (14.9 ave.) and had 68 rebounds.

Akron had two players on the second team, Elise Leeds and Helena Hill, both seniors.

The second team also includes Albion senior Lexi Wolck, Wilson senior Sarah Lewis and Roy-Hart sophomore Shelby Wolf.

Newfane had a trio of Honorable Mention selections including senior Megan Knoll, junior Lauren Boudeman and sophomore Rachel Chunco.

The Honorable Mention players also include junior Izzy Dinse and sophomore Meg Musall from Wilson, senior Kirsten Struble from Albion, sophomore Sydnie Luckman from Barker and senior Meghan Washington from Roy-Hart.
