N-O duo earn first team All-WNY honors
Medina senior midfielder Iyla Lilleby and Akron senior midfielder Olivia McClaine have both been named to the first team of the All-Western New York field hockey squad.
Lilleby, a three-time first team Niagara-Orleans All-League honoree, scored a school record 33 goals this season and finished her career with a Medina record 80 goals.
McClaine, who was named N-O Player of the Year, scored 11 goals and added 12 assists. In helping Akron win the N-O title and advance to the state semifinals, she has also earned a spot on the All-State team.
The Akron sophomore duo of goalie Marissa Brege and defender Morgan Tomporowski have both been named to the All-WNY second team as has Barker junior defender Madilyn Detschner.
Medina sophomore attacker Penelope Schalck , who had 20 goals and 8 assists, and Barker sophomore midfielder Madelina Pavlock have both received Honorable Mention on the All-WNY squad.
