N-O boys X-C has three-way tie for first place
Newfane, Akron and Barker all scored victories this afternoon to finish the regular season portion of the Niagara-Orleans League boys cross country campaign deadlocked in a three-way tie for first place at 5-1.
Newfane defeated Medina 19-40 and Wilson 25-32, Akron bested Barker 26-29 and Roy-Hart 20-38 and Barker downed Roy-Hart 18-43. In the other portion of those meets Wilson edged Medina 27-29.
Wilson’s Jayden Ruble and Barker’s Luke Fay were the individual winners in the two tri-meets.
In the girls competition, Newfane finished a perfect 6-0 regular season by defeating Medina 19-41 and Wilson 16-46. In the other portion of the meet Medina downed Wilson 14-32.
Newfane’s duo of Kylie Bowman and Stella Pasquale finished 1-2 as Medina’s Maddy Mark was third.
In the other meet, Barker defeated Roy-Hart and Akron by the identical score of 26-29. Akron also downed Roy-Hart 25-30.
Barker’s Emma Evans was the individual winner.
