N-O athletes earn All-WNY scholar honors
Over a dozen Niagara-Orleans League senior athletes have earned spots on the All-Western New York Scholar-Atlhlete team for the winter sports season.
Earning first team honors were Julia Atwater and Brooke Bodine from Barker, Noah Diebel and Gina Henley from Akron, Kiki Dy and Claire Puff from Newfane and Allie Bubar and Kaylee Stoelting from Wilson. They all played basketball except for Dy who was a swimmer.
Receiving honorable mention were Olivia Denny, Nolan Bouchane and Bryce Moeller from Barker, Jennifer Komosinski from Akron and Chase Wheeler from Wilson. Bouchane was a swimmer and Wheeler a wrestler while the others all played basketball.
In order to be eligible, athletes must have had a 90 plus average for the previous six semesters.
