N-O All-League harriers honored

The top seven finishers at the annual Niagara-Orleans League championship meet held Saturday at Lakeside Beach State Park, have earned first team All-League honors. Those runners, in their order of finish, include, in back from left. Sergio Cruz (Barker), Samuel Auernhamer (Newfane), Avery Green (Roy-Hart) and Doug Bachman (Barker). In front, from left, are Jack Hopkins (Barker), Dustin Walters (Barker) and Austin Heil (Medina). Cruz, who won the race for the second year in a row, along with Bachman, Hopkins and Walters all helped to lead Barker to a 42 point victory in the meet locking the the Raiders second straight N-O title and sixth in the last seven years.

The seven first team members of the N-O All-League girls cross country team, in their order of finish, include in back from left, Margo Henley (Akron), Kimberly Goerss (Newfane), Emily Ludwig (Akron) and Madyson Coville (Albion). In front, from left, are Nina Burkard (Newfane), Kylee Schultz (Akron) and Gabrielle Baker (Barker). Henley, Ludwig and Schultz helped lead Akron to a narrow six point win over Newfane in the meet to lock up the Lady Tigers third straight N-O championship.
