Mynderse netters nip Holley in C finals
A pair of narrow three set wins earned Mynderse a 3-2 victory over Holley this afternoon in the Section V Class C championship tennis match at East Rochester.
Mynderse took the second and third singles matches in three sets for the margin of victory.
Holley got wins by Brady Smith at first singles and by the second doubles team of Derek McArthur and Jake DeSimone.
“It was just a real tight one that couldn’t have been any closer,” said Holley Coach John Grillo. “We didn’t expect to get this far. We just really over achieved and I’m really proud of our kids.”
