Mustangs to host Wildcats Friday
Albion visits Barker/Roy-Hart; Holley hosts Oakfield-Alabama

Looking to get back onto the winning track, Medina/Lyndonville hosts Depew in a B East Division football game at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Vets Park.
The Mustangs are looking to rebound from a 35-0 loss at undefeated division leading Alden last week while the Wildcats are looking to keep the momentum from a key 29-19 B East win over East Aurora/Holland.
Alden, which is 4-0 in the division and 5-0 overall can lock up outright possession of the B East title with a home field win over East Aurora/Holland (2-1, 3-2) Friday.
Medina/Lyndonville brings a 1-2 divisional and 3-2 overall record into the contest while Depew is 3-1, 3-2 and still in the hunt for a possible share of the division title.
Depew holds a 15-10 lead in the series with the Mustangs which began in 1929. The Wildcats have won the last six meetings including a 63-26 romp in the most recent encounter in 2012.
Friday’s contest will also feature two pre game ceremonies.
The annual Family Night ceremonies will be held at 7 p.m. when the players and their families will be introduced.
Then just prior to kickoff the initial class of the John “Pinky” Loughlin Memorial Wall of Fame will be inducted. Those inductees include Ernie Clark (Class of 1956), Norm Goheen (Class of 1963), Carlton “Duke” Little (Class of 1974), David Fluellen (Class of 1983) and Jim Snyder (Class of 1989).
Barker/Roy-Hart running back Eric Fitch and his teammates will host Albion at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Barker.
Albion at Barker/Roy-Hart
Looking to snap a four game losing streak, Albion faces Barker/Roy-Hart at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Barker in a B East Division game.
Barker/Roy-Hart ended a season long four game losing streak last weekend by defeating East High of Erie Pa. 26-16 while Albion was blanked 17-0 at Pioneer in an interdivisional contest.
Both teams are 1-4 overall on the season.
Albion holds a 2-1 in the short series against Barker/Roy-Hart. The Purple Eagles won 32-0 in 2013 and 32-8 last year while Barker/Roy-Hart took the inaugural meeting in 2012 33-30.
Holley vs. Oakfield-Alabama
Seeking that elusive first win of the season, Holley hosts Oakfield-Alabama at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in a Genesee Region League contest which is also the Hawks Homecoming.
Oakfield-Alabama, which is 1-3 in the league and 2-3 overall, holds an 8-4 lead in the series with Holley including a 54-19 win last fall.
The Hornets are looking to snap a two game losing streak after posting back-to-back wins over CG Finney (26-6) and Pembroke (42-27). The Hawks lost to Pembroke 27-12 last weekend.
