Mustangs, Tigers face key sectional contests

Hoping the rainy weather forecast is wrong the Medina and Lyndonville softball teams and the Lyndonville baseball squad all have key sectional games on tap Thursday.

The No. 3 seed Medina girls will face top seeded Eden for the Section VI Class B2 championship at 7 p.m. at Williamsville North.  The Mustangs are seeking their first ever softball sectional title.

The top seed Lyndonville girls will take on No. 4 Fillmore in the Section V Class D1 semifinals at 4:30 p.m. at Batavia High School.

The No. 2 Lyndonville baseball squad will likewise face top seeded Fillmore in the Section V Class D1 championship game at 7 p.m. at Dwyer Stadium in Batavia.
