Staying in the thick of the title chase, Medina blanked Newfane 7-0 in a Niagara-Orleans League boys soccer game at Vets Park this evening.

Improving to 5-1, Medina stays within a game of undefeated (6-0) Wilson which nipped host Roy-Hart (3-3) 1-0 this evening.

Medina jumped out to a commanding 5-0 lead in the first half as Vinny Gray scored two goals and Tyler Kroening, Aleks Seefeldt and Cole Callard each chipped in with one. Alex Benz also had 3 assists and Gray 2 during that stretch.

Gray completed his hat-trick with a goal in the second half which saw Kroening also pick up his second tally of the evening.

Wilson scored with just four minutes to go to edge Roy-Hart on a goal by Aidan Neumann off an assist from Keegan Hermann.

The other scheduled game, Akron at Albion, was postponed as Akron did not have enough players.
