Mustangs seek road win Saturday to clinch at least a share of C North Division title

Having battled back up to the top spot, Medina’s magic number to claim at least a share of a fifth straight C North Division football title is now 1.

The Mustangs will close out the division schedule at Maritime at 2 p.m. Saturday seeking a win to lock up at least a share of the C North championship. Maritime is 1-4 in the division and 2-4 overall.

Medina is now 5-1 in the division while Newfane, Alden and Cleveland Hall are all at 4-1 each with two division games remaining.

Newfane will visit Cleveland Hill on Saturday while Alden will visit Akron on Friday. Newfane will then host Maritime and Alden will entertain Cleveland Hill in the regular season finales the following week.

This week’s slate of football action will begin on Thursday as Albion visits Lew-Port at 7 p.m. for a B3 Division matchup of two teams both seeking their first win of the season. Albion will then host rival Medina in the regular season finale on October 25.M

Roy-Hart/Barker will visit Tonawanda at 7 p.m. Friday for a C North Division game.

In the Section V 8 Man Division, Holley will travel to Wellsville at 7 p.m. Friday.
