A goal early in each half keyed No. 2 seed Medina to a 2-0 victory over No. 3 Falconer/Cassadaga Valley this evening in the semifinals of the Section VI Class B2 boys soccer playoffs.

Cole Callard scored what proved to be the game winning goal on a direct kick just 5 minutes into the first half. It was his 43rd of the season.

Aleks Seefeldt later added a big insurance goal on a reound shot just 25 seconds into the second half off an initial shot by Callard. It was his 13th of the season.

Brady Christiaansen earned the shutout in goal for the Mustangs.

Improving to 15-2-1, Medina will now play in the Class B2 championship game at 5 p.m. Friday at West Seneca West High School against the winner of the No. 1 Southwestern vs. No. 5 Akron semifinal.
