A big four touchdown first quarter scoring burst ignited Medina to a 56-0 Homecoming C North Division victory over Tonawanda at Vets Park this evening.

The Mustangs decisive barrage of first quarter touchdown plays included a 19 yard run by quarterback Preston Woodworth, a 20 yard pass from Woodworth to Jerrell Nealy along with a pair of scoring runs by Christian Moss covering 7 and 2 yards. Cole Callard added all four extra point kicks and was a perfect 8 for 8 in that department on the evening.

Kolton Fletcher had a 19 yard pass reception and a 13 yard run to highlight the first scoring drive. A fumble recovery by Avion Johnson at the Timberwolves 25 set up the second while a 26 yard pass completion from Woodworth to Moss keyed the third and a 26 yard run by Moss highlighted the fourth.

The Mustangs lead soared to 49-0 after a three touchdown third quarter. Those scores came on a 22 yard interception return by Hadrian Batista, a 39 yard run by Moss and a 15 yard run by Jayzon Wills. An interception by Aidan Papaj at the Timberwolves 15 set up Wills’ TD.

Fletcher rounded out the Mustangs scoring parade with a 16 yard touchdown run in the final quarter.

Brody Fry led the Mustangs defense with 9 tackles, 2 for losses, and 2 assists.

Medina improves to 3-1 in the division while Tonawanda slips to 0-4.
