A combination of snow pellets, sleet and rain caused this afternoon’s Roy-Hart at Medina Niagara-Orleans league baseball game at Vets Park to be halted in the third inning with the Mustangs leading 7-1.

Roy-Hart had grabbed a 1-0 lead in the top of the first as Ben Maynard singled and came home on a triple by Al Xapsos.

However, Medina answered right back with a big seven run scoring burst highlighted by two-run singles by both Kyle Herman and Brennan Zinkievich. An error, a bunt single by Jason Hellwig and a hit batter loaded the bases to set up the threat.

It remained 7-1 going into the third inning when the snow pellets changed to a steady rain causing the game to be stopped.
