Mustangs rally to down Panthers
Putting together a big third quarter scoring burst, Medina rallied to down host Newfane 56-41 in a Niagara-Orleans League boys basketball game this evening.
Trailing 23-21 at the half, Medina erupted with a 24-7 third period scoring edge to break the contest open.
Jerrell Nealy and Preston Woodworth both scored 8 and Cole Callard and Jayzon Wills each chipped in with 4 during that decisive run as the Mustangs rallied into a 45-30 lead at the three-quarter mark.
Nealy finished with 19, Woodworth 14, Callard and Christian Moss 6 each, Avion Johnson 5, Wills 4 and Kolton Fletcher 2.

Medina, which next hosts rival Albion at 6:30 p.m. Friday, is now 5-4 in N-O action and Newfane 1-8.
Northstar 90, Lyndonville 47
Northstar bested visiting Lyndonville 90-47 in a non league contest.
Northstar made 19 threes including 9 in the third quarter.
Lane Woodworth scored 16, Juan Alberdi 13 and Colton Smith 9.
The Kendall at Holley Genesee Region League game was postponed.
