Mustangs post shutout win over Blue Devils

Strong pitching keyed Medina to a 2-0 victory over Batavia in a non league game at Vets Park this evening.
Aidan Paul had a big night both on the mound and at the plate to lead the Mustangs. On the mound, he allowed just 1 hit and struck out 14 in six innings of work. At the plate, he drove in both of the Mustangs runs with a two-run single in the fifth inning.
Aiden Pitts came on in the seventh to complete the shutout as he allowed no hits and struck out 2.
Medina next hosts Oakfield-Alabama in another non league contest at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Wilson, Newfane, Akron win
In other non league games, Wilson defeated Lyndonville 12-0, Newfane downed Cleveland Hill 20-3 and Akron topped East Aurora 12-5.
