Mustangs pin Lakemen
Registering nine pins, seven in the first period, Medina romped to a 78-12 victory over visiting Wilson this evening to open the Niagara-Orleans League season.
Setting the tone, Medina used sub minute pins by Ben Howell (152) and Ryan Kruger (195) along with a first period fall by Charles Beach (182) to jump out to a 24-6 lead at the outset.
The Mustangs also got a sub minute pins by Hunter Freeman (120) and Jacob Covert (138) along with first period falls by Trevor Pittard (285) and Nick Erway (1:20), a second period pin by Nick Doberstein (132) and a fall in overtime by Kalvin Packer (220).
Cody Crane (170) also had an overtime victory for the Mustangs.
Kevin Wiesinger (145) had a pin for Wilson.
In another match, Akron opened defense of its N-O title by defeating host Albion 78-11.
Aaron Mulroy had a pin and Aaron Burnside a technical fall victory for Albion.
Alexander 66, Kendall 16
Mason ReQua (152) had a pin and Jacob Weed (170) a major decision for Kendall in the Eagles 66-16 Genesee Region League loss at Alexander Tuesday.
