Rallying late with three straight clutch pins Medina downed host Albion 42-32 in a Niagara-Orleans League wrestling match this evening.

Trailing 32-24, the Mustangs came battling back with three straight first period pins by Conor Crandall (189) in 1:25. Breydin McEwen-Miller (215) in 1:12 and Sawyer Kingsbury (285) in 1:30 to close the match and earn the victory.

Earlier Medina jumped out to leads of 18-0 and 24-11 at the outset on a second period pin by Dominick Callara (118), a first period fall by Brennan Allen (138) and two forfeits. Albion had a technical fall win by Alonzo Figueroa-Fuentes and a forfeit win during that stretch.

The Purple Eagles did take the next four bouts on three forfeits and an overtime decision win by Josh Bovenzi (152) to rally into a 32-24 lead.

That set the stage for the Mustangs decisive match closing rally of three straight pins.

Medina is now 2-0 and Albion 0-2 in N-O competition.
