Mustangs have five All-WNY honorees

Five members of Medina’s C North Division champion and Section VI Class C runner-up football team, which compiled a 10-1 record, have earned spots on the All-Western New York football squad.
Senior two-way lineman Roosevelt Mitchell has been named to the first team and junior kicker/punter Cole Callard to the second team.
In addition, the trio of sophomore running back Christian Moss, junior running back/linebacker Brody Fry and senior two-way lineman Xavier King have all earned Honorable Mention.
Mitchell, a three-year starter who was also a finalist for the Trench Award which is given annually to the top lineman in WNY, had 28 tackles and 5 sacks.
Callard made 44 of 46 extra point kicks and 4 field goals the longest coming from 47 yards.
Moss, who was named the C North Division Offensive Player of the Year, rushed for 1,362 yards and scored 16 touchdowns.
Fry, who was named the C North Division Defensive Player of the Year, made a team high 69 tackles, On offense he rushed for 260 yards and 2 touchdowns and caught 10 passes for 152 yards and a TD.
King made 19 tackles and had 2 sacks.

Newfane has placed senior wide receiver Ben Dickinson on the second team. He caught 70 passes for 1,040 yards and scored 9 touchdowns.
The Panthers also had senior quarterback Nate Snow receive Honorable Mention. The C North Division Player of the Year, he passed for 2,025 yards and 21 touchdowns and rushed for 640 yards and 10 TDs.
Roy-Hart/Barker junior two-way lineman Jackson West has received Honorable Mention. He made 57 tackles and had 11 sacks.
Wilson senior running back John Mahar has been named to the third team. He rushed for 1,691 yards and scored 24 touchdowns.
