Mustangs have double winner on first day of N-O All-League meet

Martha Gardner of Medina/Lyndonville was a double winner this afternoon on the opening day of the annual Niagara-Orleans All-League track meet at Roy-Hart.
Gardner won the 800 in 2:23.8 and the 3000 in 10:52.54.
Albion’s Chanyce Powell captured the triple jump with an effort of 35-8 1/2.
Also in the girls competition, Newfane’s Hannah Lewandowski won the discus (95-1) and Akron took the 1600 relay in 4:15.94 with the foursome of Kylee Schultz, Hailey Hall, Kara Sequin and Mackenzie O’Brien.
In the boys competition, Newfane and Wilson both had of pair of winners. Samuel Auernhamer took the 3200 (10:15.35) and Andrew Boudeman the triple jump (41-1 3/4)) for the Panthers while Trey Rees took the 800 (2:04.33) and Mark Coder the pole vault (11-0) for the Lakemen.
Albion’s Kory Reynolds won the discus (126-4) while Akron took the 1600 relay in 3:36.79 with the quartet of Mike Swiniarski, Erik Kreher, Zach Bell and Ethan PeQueen.
The meet will conclude on Thursday afternoon at Roy-Hart.
