Mustangs hand Rams first N-O soccer loss

Avenging an earlier season 6-0 loss, Medina/Lyndonville handed Roy-Hart its first Niagara-Orleans League boys soccer loss by a 2-0 margin at Vets Park this evening.

Zaric Boyce scored what proved to be the game winning goal for the Mustangs just three minutes into the contest off a corner kick by Cole Callard.

Cole Seefeldt later added a huge insurance goal at the 20 minute mark.

Zach Fike made 7 saves to earn the shutout in goal for the Mustangs whose defense was anchored by the quartet of Jack Whipple. Evan Harris, Josh Hilobuk and Aidan Owczarczak.

Medina is now 3-3 and Roy-Hart 6-1 in N-O competition.

Akron 2, Albion 1
Akron nipped Albion 2-1 in another N-O contest on a penalty kick goal by Cole Fleming with 30 seconds to go.

Andrew Uderitz scored the Albion goal.

Akron is now 3-2-1 and Albion 0-7 in the league.

Attica 3, Kendall 2 OT
In a Genesee Region League game, Attica outlasted Kendall 3-2 in overtime.

A first half goal by Zach Barrett off an assist from Mike McCue tied the game for Kendall. McCue later scored himself in the second half on a direct kick to give the Eagles a 2-1 lead.

Byron-Bergen/Elba 3, Holley 1

Jack Farner had two goals and an assist for Byron-Bergen/Elba in the 3-1 G-R win over Holley.
