Youth and inexperience dominate the roster for Medina as the Mustangs prep to begin the season with a non league game at Holland on Wednesday (6:30 p.m.).

Senior Cayden Lilleby and junior Justin Pitts provide the only real varsity experience for the Mustangs whose graduation losses included Joe Cecchini, Jarin Rhim, David Berry and Anthony Rutty. In addition, two other possible returnees, juniors Kaedon Cleveland and Amari Soule, have opted not to play this year.

The roster for new coach Justin Morgan, who guided the Mustangs JV team last year, also includes senior Aiden Pitts; juniors Roosevelt Mitchell, Jason Beyer, Jack Cecchini, Alex Benz; sophomores Cole Callard and Cam Kenward and freshman Jerrell Nealy.

The Mustangs will host three straight home games – against Maritime on Dec. 13, West Seneca East on Dec. 15 and Holley on Dec, 17 – before participating in the Batavia Lions Club Tournament at GCC on Dec. 27 and 29.

The Niagara-Orleans League opener will be January 3 at home against Albion.
