Mustangs tip Lady Tigers in OT

Medina nipped host Lyndonville 2-1 in double overtime this afternoon in a non league girls soccer game.

Destiny Satkowski scored the game winning goal for Medina at 7:10 of the second 10 minute overtime period off an assist from Allison Bensley.

Satkowski also scored Medina’s first goal just 1:18 into the second half, off an assist from Martha Gardner, which gave the Mustangs a 1-0 lead.

However, Lyndonville battled back into a tie as Anna Lewis scored on a breakaway at 20:45 of the second half.

Neither team could find the net in the first overtime period as Emma Gardner made a key diving save in goal for Medina.

Medina is now 3-3-1 on the season and Lyndonville 3-4.

Holley 2, Pembroke 2
Second half goals by Peyton Sargent and Riley Sanger earned Holley a 2-2 tie with Pembroke in a Genesee Region League game.

N-O Boys Soccer

Wilson improved to 2-0-1 in N-O competition with a 5-0 win over visiting Roy-Hart (1-3) as Cesar Carlin scored the three goal hat-trick to lead the Lakemen.
