Mustangs earn B East Division All-Star football honors

Medina/Lyndonville has placed a trio of players on the first team of the B East Division All-Star football squad.

The Mustangs trio includes junior running back Jake Cotter, senior offensive lineman Noah Banazwski and senior defensive lineman Charles Beach.

Cotter led the Mustangs in rushing with 1,441 yards and in scoring with 13 touchdowns.

Both two-way linemen, Beach made 69 tackles and had 3.5 sacks while Banazwski made 30 tackles and had 2 sacks and an interception.

The Mustangs also had five second team All-Star selections including junior running back Eric Neace, senior defensive back Dylan Lewis, sophomore defensive back Mason Lewis, senior linebacker Tom Follman and junior linebacker Dawson Joy.

The Mustangs second team honorees include Dawson Joy, Eric Neace and Tom Follman.

The second team honorees also include Dylan Lewis and Mason Lewis.

Neace scored a total of 10 touchdowns and had 484 yards rushing while on defense he made 51 tackles and had 2 sacks.

Dylan Lewis had 20 pass receptions for 238 yards and 4 touchdowns and also had 2 interceptions on defense.

Mason Lewis made 34 tackles and had 2 interceptions; Follman 75 tackles and 4 sacks and Joy 87 tackles.

Three Mustangs also received Honorable Mention including senior quarterback Tyler Valley, sophomore wide receiver Jalin Cooper and senior linemen Kalvin Packer and Andrew Dusett.

Valley threw for 793 yards and 11 touchdowns and Cooper had 17 catches for 365 yards and 4 touchdowns.
