Mustangs down Rams in JV football

The Medina Mustangs JV squad improved to 4-1 by defeating the host Roy-Hart/Barker Rams 32-16 this morning,.

Emmanual Taylor and Bobby Geiger had big days to pace the Mustangs offense.

Taylor scored three touchdowns, two coming on passes from quarterback Jarin Rhim, with a third on the ground and also ran for a two point conversion. Taylor finished with 114 rushing yards and 92 receiving yards.

Geiger ran for two touchdowns and rolled up 145 yards on the ground.

The Mustangs defense did its part as well, forcing seven turnovers in the game.

Tyler Chinn intercepted two passes and Colby Petrie picked off one.

Geiger recovered two fumbles while Jacob Golding and Mario Fidanza each recovered one.

The JV Mustangs will host their first home game of the season next Saturday at Vets Park against Alden at 10 a.m.
