Medina romped to a 13-0 victory at Wilson this afternoon to complete a 12-2 Niagara-Orleans League baseball championship season.

Jason Hellwig hurled a 4 hit shutout with 12 strikeouts for Medina.

Quentin Adkins and Lawson Fenton both had 4 hits to lead the Mustangs attack as Brennan Zinkievich, Kyle Herman, Jared Zinkievich and Josh Scroger each chipped in with a pair of hits. Adkins drove in a total of 4 runs, Brennan Zinkievich 3 and Herman 2.

Leading 1-0, Medina began to pull away by scoring three times in the fourth inning on RBI singles by Brennan Zinkievich, Herman and Adkins. A double by Scroger ignited that uprising.

The Mustangs then broke the contest open with five runs in the fifth as Scroger had a two-run single, Brennan Zinkievich an RBI triple and Adkins and RBI single.

Wilson finishes the N-O campaign at 0-14.

Now at 14-4 overall, Medina next visits Batavia at 5 p.m. Saturday for a non league contest. The Mustangs will then host Starpoint at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday in another non league game.
