Mustangs bow in tourney title contest

Jumping out to a big first half lead, Starpoint went on to defeat Medina/Lyndonville 5-0 this evening in the championship game of the Tonawanda girls soccer tournament.

Medina/Lyndonville, which played without three starters, was unable to rebound from a 4-0 half-time deficit.

The Mustangs had defeated City Honors 6-4 on Friday to advance to the finals.

Now at 1-1, the Mustangs will open Niagara-Orleans League competition at Akron on Friday.
