Mustangs blank Panthers in N-O soccer

Scoring a goal in each half, Medina blanked Newfane 2-0 in a Niagara-Orleans League game this evening at Vets Park.

Cole Callard scored what proved to be the game winning goal on a header off a corner kick by Alex Benz midway through the first half.

Callard later added an insurance goal in the second half.

The win improves Medina to 3-4-1 in N-O competition while Newfane slips to 0-9.

Akron 3, Albion 1

Akron boosted its N-O record to 5-2-1 with a 3-1 win at Albion.

Corleone Plain scored the goal for Albion which is now 2-5-1 in N-O action.

N-O Girls Soccer

A lone second half goal earned Newfane a narrow 1-0 win over visiting Medina this afternoon in an N-O contest.
