Mustangs battle to tie with Lakemen in key contest; Albion wins in OT to grab N-O lead

Medina battled to a 1-1 tie with host Wilson in a key Niagara-Orleans League boys soccer game this evening.

The Lakemen took a 1-0 lead on a goal by Keagan Hermann with 15 minutes remaining in the second half but the Mustangs rallied to knot the score five minutes later on a goal by Cole Callard.

Medina is now 3-0-1 and Wilson 2-0-1 in N-O action.

Albion 2, Newfane 1 OT
Albion outlasted host Newfane 2-1 in overtime to grab sole possession of the N-O lead at 3-0.

Tye Talbot scored the game winning goal in overtime for Albion. David Rosario netted the Purple Eagles first goal.

Purple Eagles goalie Adrian Figueroa-Fuentes had a big save on a Newfane penalty kick during regulation time.

Akron 4, Roy-Hart 1
Akron downed Roy-Hart 4-1 in an N-O contest as Sawyer Ranney had 3 goals and an assist.

Akron is now 1-2 and Roy-Hart 0-4 in league play.

Mt. Morris 6, Lyndonville 2
Three unanswered second half goals helped Mt. Morris lock up a 6-2 win over visiting Lyndonville in a non league game this evening.

Colton Smith scored both goals for Lyndonville off assists from Gavin Draper and Izaiah Rodriguez. The first tied the game at 1-1 and the second kept the Tigers within one at 3-2 at halftime.

Holley 5, Wheatland-Chili 0
Holley blanked Wheatland-Chili 5-0 in a Genesee Region League game as Chris Mosier had 4 goals and Chase Kempa 1.

Josh Silpoch had 2 assists for the Hawks as Kempa, Camden Mosier and Blake Coleman each had 1.

Dylan Warner earned the shutout in goal.
