Mustangs and Tigers have champions at Lockport wrestling tournament

Medina and Lyndonville both had individual weight class champions at the Lockport Wrestling Tournament on Friday.

Medina’s Reece Senske (108) and Conor Crandall (190) both captured titles as did Lyndonville’s Sebastian Temich (170)

Senske decisioned Sean McDonald from Starpoint 7-0 in his title bout after registering pins in his first two matches.

Crandall decisioned Cooper Farrell from Brockport 7-3 in the finals. He advanced to the title bout on two pins and a decision win.

Temich scored a 7-5 sudden victory win over Killian Simonson from Amherst in his title match. He advanced to the finals by registering four pins.

Wilson’s William Wortkoetter also won at 285 registering four pins including a quick 25 second fall in the finals.

Medina also had Sawyer Kingsbury place second at 215 and Austin Seefeldt fourth at 152.

Roy-Hart/Barker had Luke Fay (131) place second and Joe Jopp (124) and Dan Moore (215) both place fourth.

The tournament was originally scheduled to be held over two days but because of the impending snow and wind storm was condensed into a one day event on Friday.
