Mustangs, Rams win to stay tied for N-O lead

Medina/Lyndonville and Roy-Hart both scored high scoring victories this afternoon to remain deadlocked for the Niagara-Orleans League boys soccer lead at 7-1.

Medina/Lyndonville defeated Akron 7-0 at Vets Park and Roy-Hart downed host Newfane 8-1.

Dan Mandujano and Nathan Dillenbeck both had the three goal hat-trick to spearhead the Medina/Lyndonville attack.

The Mustangs held a slender 1-0 lead at the half on a goal by Mandujano at the 17 minute mark off an assist from Russell Stephens.

A goal by Dillenbeck just a minute and a half into the second half, off an assist from AJ Seefeldt, then ignited a huge six goal Mustangs scoring barrage.

Mandujano made it 4-0 when he scored two lightning quick goals just a minute mark at the 29 and 28 minute marks off assists from, Alex Barry and Seefeldt.

Two goals by Dillenbeck and one by Hunter Heil then rounded out the Mustangs scoring parade.

Peter Martillotta and Trent Choate each had 2 goals and Aidan Bligh a goal and 4 assists to set the pace for Roy-Hart which also got goals from Brennan Saia, Noah Stern and Dillen Giertz.

In the other N-O game, Wilson nipped Albion 2-1 on a penalty kick goal by Quinn Rees in overtime.

Marcus Schwarzmueller scored the other goal for Wilson which is now 3-6.

Alex Zaczek netted the lone goal for Albion which slips to 3-5-1.

In a non league game, Lew-Port downed host Holley 7-0.
