Mustang wrestlers split in season opener

It was sunny and 80 degrees outside but inside Section VI’s final Winter season sport – wrestling – got underway late this afternoon as host Medina split a pair of matches in the new Orleans and Niagara Counties League.
Medina defeated Wilson 48-18 after dropping a 45-30 decision to Lew-Port.
Rashawn Bloom and Austin Seefeldt had pins for Medina against Wilson. Bloom, Ethan Page and Noah Skinner also all notched pins for the Mustangs against Lew-Port.
Medina next hosts Niagara Falls next Tuesday.
