Steadily pulling away, Medina posted a 16-6 victory over host Lew-Port this afternoon to regain the .500 mark at 4-4 in Class C Division lacrosse action.

Coby Albone scored a season high 6 goals to lead the Medina attack. Brendan Luthart and Jake Cotter both added 3 goals for the Mustangs as Tyler Valley, Mike Carson, Dylan Lewis and Johnny Salone each had 1.

Mason Pecoraro earned the win in goal.

Medina jumped out to a 4-1 first period lead on 2 goals by Luthart and 1 each by Albone and Cotter.

A pair of tallies by Albone then ignited a five goal second period uprising which boosted the Mustangs advantage to 9-4 at the half.

Medina maintained a commanding 13-5 lead at the three-quarter mark.

Medina next visits Gowanda/Silver Creek at 7 p.m. Friday.
