Mustang stickmen top Batavia

Roaring out to a 6-0 lead in the first five and a half minutes, Medina went on to romp past Batavia 16-4 this evening in a non league lacrosse game at Vets Park.

Brett Pecoraro scored 2 goals and Aaron Feltz, Jake Cotter, Brendan Luthart and Tyler Valley each chipped in with 1 during that huge game opening 6-0 scoring burst.

Medina led 8-0 at the end of the opening period after goals by Luthart and Mason Lewis.

Cotter had a total of 4 goals on the night as Feltz and Lewis both had 3 and Pecoraro, Luthart and Valley 2 each.

Feltz and Cotter both netted a pair of goals in the second period and Lewis 1 to help increase the Mustangs advantage to 13-3 at the half.

Medina led 15-4 after third period tallies by Cotter and Valley.

Now at 6-3 overall, Medina next visits Salamanca in a Class C Division game at 5:30 p.m. Monday.

Summer lax program to get started

An expanded, now five team, Medina summer lacrosse program is about to get going with player sign-up set for May 9 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Vets Park.

This summer Medina will be fielding teams in the 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U and 16U divisions which will be competing in the Western New York Summer Lacroose League.
