Getting goal production from six different players, Medina snapped a brief two game losing streak by defeating Lew-Port 13-5 this afternoon in a Class C Division lacrosse contest at Vets Park.

Tyler Valley scored 4 goals and Mason Lewis 3 to spearhead the attack for Medina as Jake Cotter and Brendan Luthart both added 2 and Coby Albone and Dylan Lewis 1 each.

Breaking away from a 1-1 deadlock, Medina scored three unanswered goals in the second period on tallies by Mason Lewis, Cotter and Luthart, to move out to a 4-1 half-time advantage.

The Mustangs quickly upped the advantage to 6-1 in the first minute and a half of the third period on goals by Valley and Dylan Lewis.

Two more tallies by Valley and one by Mason Lewis in the final 4:30 of the period kept the Mustangs in command by a 9-4 margin at the three-quarter mark.

Albone, Valley, Cotter and Luthart then took turns scoring goals in the final period to cap off the victory.

Now at 2-3 in the division, Medina next hosts Salamanca at 5 p.m. Friday.

The loss drops the Lancers to 0-6.
