Keeping the momentum, the Mustangs then used a 6-3 third period scoring edge to stretch the advantage to 15-8.

Pecorao and Valley both had a pair of goals during that uprising as Barna and Wigley each netted one.

Daunce scored twice early in the third period for Wilson but the Lakemen could get no closer than 10-7.

Wilson did grab a 3-2 lead at the end of the first period after goals by Farmer, Chase Feeley and Ryan Harrell.

Barna and Wigley had the Medina goals in the opening period.

Hodgins later netted the Mustangs lone goal in the final period.

Medina will now cap off a busy four game opening week by facing Palmyra-Macedon in a non league game at 3 p.m. Saturday at Genesee Community College.
