Moving on top to stay with a big third quarter scoring burst, Medina went on to defeat host Wilson 13-7 this afternoon to improve to 2-1 in Class D Division lacrosse action.

Leading by a narrow 5-4 margin at the half, Medina used a 6-3 scoring edge in the decisive third period to key the win. 

Mitchell Silversmith scored 4 goals while Zach Blount and Jacob Rissew each added 1 during that key uprising.

Fourth quarter goals by Silversmith and Josh Wilson then helped the Mustangs lock up the win.

The contest was deadlocked at 2-2 at the end of the first period.

Silversmith finished with a total of 6 goals as Blount, Wilson and Zaric Boyce each had 2 and Rissew 1. Boyce also dished out 4 assists.

Medina next visits Tonawanda on Friday.
