Mustang stickmen top Blue Devils
Registering a season high goal total, Medina downed Batavia 23-11 this afternoon in a non league lacrosse game at Genesee Community College.
Tyler Valley scored eight goals and Jake Cotter six, both career highs, to spearhead the Medina attack.
Kyle Barna added four goals, Brett Pecoraro three and Aaron Feltz and Bryce Bellan one each for Medina which improves to 5-7.
Medina jumped out to a 5-3 first period lead on two goals by Cotter and one each by Valley, Barna and Feltz.
The Mustangs went on to maintain leads of 10-5 at the half and 16-10 after three quarters over the Blue Devils. Valley highlighted the third perod scoring surge by netting three goals in a row.
Medina next visits Akron in a key Class C Division game at 5 p.m. Monday.
